Laws of Physics and Everyday Life - I

Okay I know not all of us reading this are certified geeks or scientists from some university but time and again I've realized the importance and the applications of the little things we learned way back in the 8th grade.I spent my time by-hearting them so that I could get good scores in the papers,I thought their applications and co-relations are limited only to science but now I know how much wisdom exists in between these little by -hearted lines.Yes I'm talking about the Laws of Physics

Three of the most Important of laws in physics are the Newtons laws of motion (the guy whose head was hit by an apple ,had it been a coconut tree ,I wouldn't be writing this today -so Thank You Newton!)
Lets see rewind back to school time and then see what the laws can tell us more than the definition.

Law Number One:
First law of motion: An object at rest will remain at rest, and an object in motion will remain in motion, at a constant velocity unless or until outside forces act upon it.

In simple words it means a football will not move on the ground until a force, such as your foot, moves it.
To explain even better once u are used to sitting on the couch it is actually difficult to get up and do some constructive work...so next time mummy screams tel her the law is acting on u and how shes is used to screaming because of the law...(phew once in momentum she just doesn't stop)

Newton has done a fantastic job defining inertia .Inertia is the name for the tendency of an object in motion to remain in motion, or an object at rest to remain at rest, unless acted upon by a force.Everything including human beings need an external force to act on them either to start or stop doing anything without which they get used to the standstill or the motion.

When we are traveling in  an automobile our body goes through sudden jerks because of  the external force acting upon the body bringing it to sudden rest!
Now you know why you have seat belts in your cars! or else because of the motion of the car your moving body will be thrown out of the car when the car suddenly stops!
Some goons use this law to their advantage.. I'm sure women would be well aware of some men who brush upon her while the BEST bus applies sudden brakes ..and when she looks up to him in anger..he blames SCIENCE!

Inertia perfectly denotes why people tend to be lazy! finally a breather...even laziness has a reason...Newton!
So next time you find yourself unable to get something done ,it is not because you don't know how to get it done or because you don't want it to be done its just that you are not applying that extra force to set things in momentum..Once the initial force is applied then the follow up force required is much lesser..

The initial push required is always gonna be greater than the amount of work required to just maintain momentum. Starting anything be it a proposal to a loved one, starting a business, learning to play a game or handling kids  ,its all very tough in the beginning but once you stick along and let the law act.. once the new relationship begins ,the business kick starts and the child learns your ways its gonna be as simple as a eating chocolate mousse ..but not without a slight force called 'efforts' to keep things in momentum .
